Fine Art Photography

Photography has been part of most of my life. As a boy I received a camera. As a teenager I had my first thirty-five millimeter camera. By my mid twenties, I had a complete camera system. By my thirties I had a view camera and a medium format camera. In my sixties I had my first digital camera.

Many hours were spent in a dark room enlarging and printing my photographs. Today the darkroom is Lightroom and Photoshop. A person does need equipment to photograph, but what is even more essential than the equipment is the desire to see the world through a lens. That becomes part of the art, and the art is enhanced in the darkroom or the digital darkroom today.

My lifelong journey to see the light and to study it has been exhilarating today as well as when I saw the first photograph I took as a boy.
